Can PAs come under the NIW if they decide to work in an undeserved area as the primary care provider for 5 years?

The law clearly says 'any physician' and USCIS commonly requires a state medical license. So, I suspect it probably wouldn't work. Doesn't mean you can't try.

Thanks for the response. But since this came under the National Interest Waiver, I was thinking a PA would fall under that category

To apply for NIW just because you served in low served area, you should be a physician with unrestricted medical license. People other than physician working in the health systen in low served areas (PA, nurses, administrators, computer specialists......etc) are not qualified for NIW. But if you have qualifications like publications, awards.........etc then go ahead and apply and at that time it does not matter you are in low served area or not.
