Once again Luck

I had my HR call this number quite a few times but whenever they call up, either they get transferred to a voicemail by the person who picks up the phone as soon as they hear the keyword "Backlog" or the phone rings and goes automatically to a voicemail.
Any tips on how to get around this and talk to a person who might cooperate and provide the status?

RIR, EB3, MD,PD: Mar 29,2002 (never went to Regional)
45 day letter received and replied to sometime in Jan,2005

As is the case with all DOL contact, we need to have a little bit of luck on our side. My supervisor had been trying for a few days and finally this morning she got through. Good luck

Guys,

After a painful journey, I finally get an approval from the status screen shot from Info@PHI.DFLC.US. Under my case status it says certified. Basically now, I have to wait for the official letter from Philly before I can proceed to the next step. Hang in there as approvals are starting to come. Thanks guys...for all your support. :D

Could you please let me know the content of your email ?

Much appreciated !!

Wow they are showing case status now

closed cases

Hey guys,
what do you think will happen to closed cases. Are they gonna ever touch them or leave them for now and do them at the end or never? it's so depressing!

Garfield,

On 21st of July when my supervisor last called they told her that the case is assigned to analyst and could take any where from 3-12 months. But on the same day my lawyer requested a screenshot and had all the fields populated with information. And now hardly a month has passed and my case is in final review. So if your screenshot has all the fields populated then I guess the analyst has done some or most of the work needed.

My screenshot is still missing Occupation Title, Occupation code and Prevailing Wage. So I guess it has not been touched by an analyst yet
:(

btw, my screen shot didn't have any status information.

My fat-axx HR had recently called and we were told to wait till end of August and they would get to those cases. I'm hoping that the tsunami of hopeless wait is starting to end. Let's be more patient, and atleast see our cases re-opened. I hope they will also get to adjudicate/certifiy them quickly too. You and I seem to be in the same "Closed" boat !

Do you really think they'll do in August? Why can't they do it now??? Yes, I now it's PBEC, but it would good to have it at least reopened! Anyway, thanks for your reply and optimism!!!

Expect them to certify now?

I don't know if I should get my hopes high. Back in May/June they approved a few cases and then suddenly they stopped. Now they are processing again. Mine is a Sep '02/RIR/EB2 case. I don't know if I should get my hopes high or just assume that it will never happen. I have one more year before I have to consider moving to canada. Otherwise, I will lose my PR there also. Do you guys think I can at least get EAD/AP in a year's time?

Well its the same old fashion "1 step forward, 2 steps back" way of doing things at PBEC... if one solves that puzzle for their way of working would be the "modern Einstein".
My take is - even if they can reopen cases in a reasonably "quick" manner i.e. till middle of Sept, it would be good enough. I'm really hoping that they don't put these cases on the back burner and adjudicate them at the sametime they re-open them. I would be reasonably satisfied if they can give my LC approval by end of this year.

Send to Info@PHI.DFLC.US and not the 7th year extension email. Just request for status update on your case and give them your case number. Good luck.

Being a 09/2002 case, you can held your hopes high for labor clearance within a year. FYI - all Labor backlog will be cleared in another 14 months. Wait for the October Visa bulletin, your EB2 priority date should enable you to file for I-485, EAD, AP immediately after LC.
Of course, I assume that EB2 PD will revert to January 2003 soon and concurrent I-140 / I-485 filing will be allowed.

status request

I sent email to Info@phi.dflc.us today to check status and got the following reply

You have reached the Philadelphia Backlog Processing Center status inquiry mailbox. At this time, we are unable to provide status information on Permanent Labor Certifications. All Philadelphia Processing Center files are being transferred to a new system. Once the data entry process is completed, a 45-Day Letter and Selection of Continuation Option letter will be issued on all applications providing a new case ID # and may request additional information from the employer.

If your request is in reference to the following, this information will also be updated.
* Address updates for attorney, employer, or alien
* Change of attorney (or attorney address changes)
* Incorrect case closures
* H-1B extensions please email your request to H1B7YR@PHI.DFLC.US
* Case withdraws

Aliens seeking status must contact their employer or attorney to obtain information.

For frequently asked questions and status inquiry, please visit the following internet website:

http://www.foreignlaborcert.doleta.gov/

There is no need to submit multiple requests. The next notices that you will receive from this office will be a 45-Day Letter and a Selection of Continuation Option letter.

Your patience is appreciated.

I sent a email to Info@PHI.DFLC.US and I got the same automated reply "You have reached the Philadelphia Backlog Processing Center status inquiry mailbox. At this time, we are unable to provide status".

I also got a reply from h1b7 email which I sent earlier so I am guessing my case is not approved yet.

4 years and still counting.....

Don't worry

Don't worry. I got the same thing the day before and the good news came the next day. Wait and see.....! Good luck.

final review

I noticed a lot of people here got the information of their cases are in "final review" status, mine too which I got by mail from PBEC, cause I wrote a letter to Ellaine Chao back to June. Can anyone help us to predict how soon we can get our cases to be certified?
Thanks a lot!
:)
