Seeing all the march and April 2003 approvals is making me very anxious as I wait to hear about my case. Lawyer ofcourse does not want to call 202# to find the status, says it may hurt my case

202 update
I called the 202 number and got thru. The guy told me that my case hasn't been sent to analyst yet. I asked him how are 2003 cases being processed before 2001 and 2002, his reply was the cases are being processed in the order of 45 day being received back by PBEC. Mine was sent back in June.
My PD is Dec 13, 2002

I asked for status last month, but no reply came back. I got reply after my Labor was approved I got the same reply.. so it looks like something is not working there.

Your contribution to the forum was unmatched. This is perhaps the most active forum in immigration dot com website and was the only source of information about PBEC. Also, starting the PBEC approval thread helped us a lot. I appreciate your time to predict several cases accurately. On a lighter note, it seems to be better off being a silent reader!

I have a guess regarding the cases being skipped: before the old director of PBEC retired, he sent out tons of NOFs as a fairwell gesture. However, he was unable to send as many NOFs as he wanted(not a suprise considering how capable his employees are). Many of the cases only being marked as NOF, but the physical letter is never out. Then the new director came along to take over the ship. She dislikes the NOF idea a little bit, so she sent most of those flaged cases back to analysts for reconsideration. Thus we see some cases got certified without NOF when they EXPECT to receive one(informed through 202 number). Also, we see cases in 2001 and 2002 getting approved. I think many of them just narrowly escaped the NOF flood. Now, sit tight, 2001 and 2002 filers. Your case might just be under reconsideration now and you will get yours soon. Seems we're in better hands now .
