Appreciate your prompt reply. Your's is not a conversion case right?
Since your old LC is approved already.

Thanks and good luck.

I don't know when is my turn to say its approved?

This is so frustrating that everyday I check my old case's status and

its still showing as "In Process". Its been more than 3 months now that I applied

for PERM.

Gurus,

Why PERM Lc certification is taking so long? I remember my lawyer told me

that their office received PERM LC approvals in8-10 days. (Didn't bother to

mention about t he conversion cases) It looks like conversion cases are

hard to certify or what? When I went on trackitt.com I found out people

are waiting since July 06. This is really depressing.

mine is non-conversion. pending since november'06.

Dude,

Just chill. I know it's hard to be patient for so long, but try to be! You said you were checking your case daily, well stop doing it for your own sanity!! You filed on 31 Oct 06, it will most likely happen between April and June 07, and if you are lucky, even earlier, so till then, just relax. The best you can do is to make sure your paperwork for 140 and 485 are ready so you can have them to the lawyer the day your PERM is approved.

hi Prez,

You are right. I need to do that. Thanks. How is your I 140 going on?

140 going ok, thanks for asking. Actually I'm filing both 140 and 485 concurrently (140 - Premium Processing, 485 - thanks to CC), and have given the lawyers everything they need. Now waiting for them to finish the preparation , sign it, and then cross my fingers and hope for the best.

Off the top of my head:

- Letters from previous employers verifying experience (IMPORTANT: Wording in the experience should be the same as that used to file Labor)
- Copy of most recent I-94
- Current Address, Work Address, Permanent Foreign Address
- Soc. Sec. #
- Current Salary
- Info regarding your family members who are filing with you: (DoB, Country of birth)
- Lawyers will give you a questionnaire typically for you and each member filing with you
- Copies of birth certificate for you and others applying
- Copy of marriage certificate
- Vaccination docs for you and others applying
- 8 passport photos each
- If you were here on F1, copies of your old EAD, I-20 etc. Also copies of current and prior 797s

I think that's it.

BTW the vaccination stuff is time sensitive (1 year I think), so don't go about getting that until you are actually ready to file 485. But if you want to avoid retaking some vaccines you already have, then make sure you get proof of that.

If you are unsure about this whole vaccination deal, browse the 485 threads. The specific form is I-693 so you can google that up too.

Looks like you are in CA. So am I. If you are in the bay area, I can even recommend a great doctor to go to. He's been doing it for 10 years and the process is very streamlined.
