Perm for Physicians

Hello,

I know there are saparate threads for Perm. I thought we should have one specific for Physicians. There might be other differences, but one comes to mind is EB2/EB3 issue when filing under PERM. Since PERM is driven by software, what I have read is that if you don't file Perm carefully, there are flags raised by the software that would triger audit(s) or denial(s).

Have any physician filed LC under PERM? Please update your experience here.

Thank you.

It is not filing procedure, but keeping the records in order for audit , incase.
Also advertisement in 2/3 different methods.
Since employer is going to file on line (not your attorney), care should be taken inputting the data properly.

Eb2/eb3

greatguru,

You're correct. M.D. is not a master's degree. The way I understood that to qualify for EB2, if you don't have Master's degree, you have to show MD p[lus experience/special training (in this case residency). Under EB2, if you specify Bachelor's degree and then how would you explain later on under PERM? I read that in such case, it should not filed online but mailed with this explaination.

What do or anyone else have any idea?

Thank you,

Your license to practise, will make your degree professional. Actually MD is Doctorate Degree, but you did not earn it from a US university as local student does. However you can apply EB2 category.

There are so many grey areas in INS, Indian B.Sc,(3yrs) with Correspondence course MCA/MSc (2 yrs) make you apply EB2, if you have olden BE (Engineering) 5 yrs course (i.e. before 1982) (now BE 4 yrs) put you in EB3 category only.
