yes, i recevied 45 day letter back in Feb, applied in Jun03 (california), it went regional in Jun04.
This PERM is so much better, the BEC process is just too slow, though taking my attorney's advice i didn't remove that application when filing for PERM.
 
BEC conversion to PERM, any news yet.

October visa bulletin issued by american embassy in Philippines shows EB2 dates for China and India as May 00 and Nov 99. and EB as May 00 and Jan 98 respectively.

Please God, I hope this is not true and Acutal bulletin will show current for EB2 for all countries.

Hi, KnowDOL, where did you get this link on the website of american embassy in Philippines. I looked through its website. The visa number priority date is linked directly to DOS visa bulletin.

And the backlog dates are questionable. I know most applications before 2001 has got their green cards.

So it is not true, right?

The link is giving some error. Also the page Heading says "Waiting periods for Visa Interview" I dont think this is Oct 05 (FY06) Visa bulletin page.

I came to know about this news from http://www.immigration-law.com . He advises not to believe this right now until the new bulletin from state is issued in the next couple of days.

Hi Folks,

Thanks for all the response on the thread it sure does help me understand the finer details of PERM process, I had filed for PERM from CA in late April (23rd 2006). Lawyer mentioned of some query or clarification raised by INS that required to be responded only after 60 days, kindly bear with my ignorance as the communication is only between my consulting company and the lawyer. I just get to hear what the consulting company has to say, they mentioned of having to post my job requirement once again in the Goverment Labor / Employment web site.

Looks like its been two weeks since they have responded to the query raised by INS, any information how long it might take to have a response from INS would be greatly appreciated. Kindly find my finer details :
M.Sc - Physics; M.S - Software Systems; 10 + years of IT experience - CM administrator (Rational Tools, CVS, PVCS, VSS).

EB2 VISA Numbers

India GOing back to Nov 1999, will kill us all.
Hope its not what hapens, but I fear that since it was posted on a US Gov website, it may turn out to be true. Moreover, since US Govt does not care a shit about speeding up the immigration process, I would not be surprised that they are indeed lagging behind in issuesing EB2 VISAS also.....

Hope for teh best is waht we can do

There is no one who can/wants to help us in this regard. We have to help ourselves..After 6 years in this country we are back to square one....What are we supposed to do..Lets write letters to our Senators..( I guess only Democrats may be courteous enough to respond although they too wont do anything)

We are totally screwed with this change. Like others said in this discussion we cannot do anything other than sending letters, lets come together and send some letters to Congress/Senetors if possible requesting for some help here.

My application was filed on 21 july at chicago and for tomorrow its going to be 8 weeks, since the day one my status is "In Process". what do we think of this? do you think if there was an audit we would have got the letter by now? did anyone get certified at chicago??? I see lot of Atlanta certifieds.
