I have a feeling that whoever came to US as student or pursued higher education, their cases are suffering the most

Everyone please post if they were student at any point of time in US

Sorry to thread crap, but I'm an August 2001 filer waiting 14+ months for an interview and I've never studied in the US.

What is your conclusion based on?

Can you substantiate your claim?

I came here as a MS student and then went through a Ph. D. program but never finished.

Don't see any co-relation between studying in the US and GC, other than the fact that processing might be slightly faster since you don't have to prove educational qualifications.
