I applied for Naturalization before i got married on 2004. I served in military. Got discharge with a, "general under honorable conditions". To qualify for citizenship you need an, "honorable discharge". Went to my interview 14 months ago still have not heard an answer. Got married after i applied for Naturalization. This year I will be 3 yrs married to a US citizen. Should i just file again as being the spouse of a citizen? Or just wait and see if my application gets denied or approved?

lily I dont know too much about all of this, but im sure if you want someone to help you here you should give more information. What did you apply under when you were single? Why didnt you just do an I-130 when you got married through your husband? You would have gotten a GC by now.

I got a lawyer to do my paper work when i first apply as having serve in the military. I asked if i should file the 1-30 after i got married. She said, "No". To wait and see what my original application will turn up as. I just filed an Affidavit of Support after i got married. Now is taking too long for this process. That is why i'm wondering if i should just file the 1-30 concurent with the 1-485. I really need some advice. I don't want to waist more money.

Silverlilly, did you or did you not have a GC while you were in the military?

call/write your congressman!!!!!!! I am sure a congressperson will be happy to help a USC-to-be with finding out what happened to your application.
