Pending asylum and marriage

I applied for asylum in January 2006 and my case is still pending. My fiance recently received her green card through diversity visa lottery. If we get married now, would it be possible to receive a green card through our marriage and drop my asylum case?

I wouldn't recommend you dropping your asylum case. Since your fiance is a GC holder, it will take 5-6 years to get approval for you after you file.

It will be a LONG wait before you can get a GC through her.
