Pending 2001/2002 I-485 applicants, Raise Hands ?

Sent email to FBI in October 2004 asked about finger print result.
Not hearing anything back from FBI for sometime. My lawyer (via local congressman) managed to find out that my case is stuck at name checking.

Phoned FBI one week ago and surprised that a lady picked up the phone. She refused to tell me anything specific about my case but told me that FBI has a large backlog for email enquiries for name checking result and currently they are handling the emails sent prior to Oct 20, 2004.

Received email from FBI today and mentioned my name check is cleared yesterday. Hopefully, I will see the light at the end of tunnel soon. So sounds like what that lady said is true since my enquiry was send on Oct 22.

Looks many of our cases are stuck at name checking. So at least send an enquiry email to FBI if you haven't done so. It may help to wake the FBI up.

be a next step ( eg. my name check was cleared in Jan, 2003 and its
still pending ).
