Peaceful Landing at TSC: I-485 Approved for Primary

Madgu and Shankrish:

Thanks for the good wishes. I hope USCIS feels the same way:)

There has been no LUD since the last one on 05/15; however, both me and my wife got similar LUDs - probably both of the files are in the same status.

Lets see how it goes!

Getting ready for both of you. Good luck

Thanks hellogc

I have few questions for you:
- Did you get any acknowledgment form USCIS when you interfiled your I140 with pending 1485? How did you know that they successfully interfiled your EB1a application?

No acknowledgment. Service center won't send you the acknowledgment. I am from retrogressed country. If eb-1a is not linked with the pending 485 then i would have not got my approval (approval is the evidence that interlink is done successfully)

- How much time did it take to get new PD from interfiled I140 applied to pending 485 and approve it?

You won't get the PD correction in your I-140. Hope you got my point

Once again Congratulations and enjoy the freedom..

Thank you
Thanks! madgu. I have few more question and hope I'm not bothering you.
When did you request for interfile?
Could you elaborate "Interlink Request: > 6 times It works" in your signature? Did you send request more than six times?

My best wishes.

Thanks!

Hi hello gc,

The format of interlinking request I sent is in this thread only and since my file was revolving in three centers (TSC, NSC, VSC) I sent to all the centers twice. what to do? when you have doubt where your file is better you send to all the service centers. I do not know how it clicked.

Madgu.

Madgu,

How r u going to u spend u r time. I think u became too active participant lately. Now u got u r GC. How are you spending u r time now. I watch this forum every hour since three years. I dont know what I will do once I get the GC.

You are right and I felt this platform gave me lots of information. I will be around certainly even though my 485 got approved. I will be active now in my research work without having anything at the back of my mind :) and I need not worry that what will happen if my present job goes way?

Having GC means much more flexibility in your job and we can lead our life peacefully.

Hi TXLCRIR!!!

My wife case is not yet approved. Even if I change the employer it is not going to affect her I believe because now she is on H-1B and her AOS is pending. you correct me if I am wrong.

Yogkc!!!

Now I got your point and what are the advantages of consular processing? Thanks for your response.

My wife is still back in home country. She has never visited US. CP was the only option left for us.

Any idea how long it takes to get the Card after the approval?

Hi yogkc,

usually within 10 days after your case is approved. that is what I have noticed in this forum.

I have not gotten any email about card mailed.

First and foremost, congrats madgu!

As for the derivative I am in the same situation as yours. My spouse's (who's on H1-b) case is pending for nearly 4 months since my approval now (however, per Infopass her NC was cleared long ago). Is your wife's case pending due to her pending NC?

Keep us posted, thanks!

p.s. As for your job change and its impact on the derivative case, I think you are right. Although, you'd better wait at least 6 months before making any move (it might affect you), that's my understanding.

thanks geofu for your information.

I do not know whether my spouse case is pending for NC clearance. do I need to worry now? I am not moving to other jobs right way (may be next year).

Thanks

Hi all,

I would appreciate your feedback/suggestion.

We are planning to visit India may be after couple of months and if my spouse case is approved while she is abroad what will happen at the US port of entry? is there any problem? can anybody ship the GC incase it arrives before we come back. do we need to worry about anything?
