Pay stubs and W-2 forms

Is it necessary to submit pay stubs and W-2 forms (for last 3 years) along with I-485 application? Would W-2 alone be enough? My employer says no need both since they have not asked for it.

I submitted ,3 pay stubs- 3 years tax returns <EOM>

Pay stubs and W2 \'s are not mandatory to be filed with 485.

people file them because...

1. To avoid future RFE or interview questions and
2. generally when they are working with the sponsoring employer.

My lawyer explicitly asked these papers. I recommend to submit

these papers to avoid potential RFEs.
