Hi, My passport will be expired next April, I am thinking to send out my GC application in November, Will USCIS accept my application? Do I have to first get my new passport?
The reason I wanna send out my application so urgently (before I get my new passport) is because I can not finish my study which means I will loose my F-1 student visa by the end of November. To prevent myself out of status, I wanna send out my application and get the receipt to keep myself legal. Will USCIS give me the receipt of I-485 with my soon expired passport? thanks.

By the way, if i am out of status for like 3 months, is it ok? will I be forgiven since my husband is USC? will I get trouble when I apply for my GC?

The file "acceptance" stage has nothing to do with a valid passport. You just need to present proof of inspection into the US.
Your overstay should be overlooked if you are marrying a USC and applying for AOS based on that.

Thank you for your answer. Just wanna make sure.....So I can send out my application with my soon expired passport and get receipt for I-485? Is that right? And once I get I-485 receipt before my F-1 visa invalid, I won't be out of status?

And most likely I will not have time to renew my passport in 3 month. So is it possible for me to get the AP with my soon expired passport, which will be expired next April? Thanks
