Passport application status....

For all those of you who received their passport (non expedited) in less than a month. Have you received any delivery date from the online status prior to receiving PP?

I received passport in a week - non expedited. My online status did show something like 'your application is in final stages of processing blah blah blah. You should receive it on or about xx/xx/xxxx (date)'.
 
Checks got cashed today.. (applied last Saturday at the PO).

Status is still showing - "we have not recd any application.. etc."
 
Vorpal had mentioned last year that his status changed to something like "your application is being processed" after he already received the passport. I wouldn't rely on the web based status update system.
 
Thanks for your replies. I applied 9/8 hoping to get it before the 9/29 (travel date). I guess I will need to shell out the extra $60, since it has not shown up.
