Passport Address different

Hi All,
I recently moved to new home where i will be staying for 6 months i am about to apply for PIO card and my address on passport is different from my current address, does it matter?

on what page of US passport you found you address written?
* Indian consulate will need Prof of your address like Utility bill and Copy your DL.
Why apply PIO card if you are eligible for OCI? According to Prime minister of India speech Government of India is going to merge PIO and OCI and I dont know what does it mean.
