Guys, pls help

1-I need to know if the fact that my parents never filed for tax would cause any problem as this is one of the question on the form?

2-Is it possible for my parents to leave the US after filing and returning for fingerprint?

3-How long is the process?

tnkx for your time. They are both over 65 years old , have had the GC for 5 years and they have jointly gross income of less than $12000 annually. Actually, my dad is retired and it is his retirement that he got to share with my mum. So I am not sure if they had to file any tax returns

Money taken from pensions and retirement accounts such as IRAs and 401(k)s (except Roth IRA's) is normally considered to be taxable income, so don't forget to include that in their total income. It's not just work income that is counted. Bank interest (including foreign bank accounts), dividends, and profits from stock sales are also considered taxable income unless they're inside a tax-sheltered retirement account. Even Social Security is partially taxable, unless their income outside of Social Security is nothing or is below a certain amount.
