Parents GC

My parents initially came to the US after getting their GC but now they have been out of the country for almost 2 years. What are their options to travel back to the US? Should I start the I-130 process all over again? Thanks

They can apply for a Returning Resident Visa (SB-1). If that fails, they'll need to start over with a new I-130.

Thank you. Could they apply for a visitor visa if SB-1 gets rejected?

If they can overcome the intent to immigrate, which, based on a rejected SB-1 visa, sounds difficult.

If their intent is actually just to visit, formally giving up their GCs should help qualify for a visitors visa. They really need to decide on where they intend to live and then do it.

File an I-407 at the consulate, and apply for a B visa at the same time.
