Parents GC Sponsorship and Taxes

I have a question as to how the parents who have been approved for GC need to handle payment of U.S taxes so that there is no issue to apply for citizenship.

I have sponsored my both parents for Greencard and they have been approved. My parents stay in my home along with my wife and children and I take care of them. Would I have to file a seperate tax filing for my parents or can they be added as dependents on my joint tax filing along with my wife. Would a head of household be more appropiate in this case.

My parents are not working at this time and hence no seperate income source.

Any suggestions on the best way to file taxes for parents would be appreciated.

They can be added as dependents provided their taxable income is under $3,500 and over 50% of their support comes from you.

No pension? Don't forget that pensions and withdrawals from retirement accounts (but not Roth) are generally considered to be taxable income, at least partially.
