I got my green card based on asylum in June 2010, parents wanted to visit my family this year, but their visa application were denied after the visa officer saw my AS6 Asylee principal green card .

I will apply citizenship next year, one of my friend told me that my parents visa still be denied even I become US citizenship, is it true? It's really scare me!

Any suggestions for my parents visa? Any input from your guys will be appreciated.

What was the reason of denial? Immigrant intent? It's all up to the visa officer. Whether they will be denied a tourist visa in the future will also depend on the visa officer (but they will know they got denied before). Your parents can try to get more proof of ties to their country, but there is no guarantee. If you want a sure way for them to come to the U.S., after you become a citizen, you could sponsor them for a green card. But that is a long and expensive process, and if they don't really intend to live in the U.S., it's kind of a waste.

My parents applied for visa two times and visited the U.S. three times without any problems while I was an asylee as well as a GC holder. They were never asked about our status. All they were asked was the purpose of the visit.
