Though not legal, is it ok to be out of status for a period of 6 months or less..Will it effect H1 renewal process and H1 satmping process in any way..(Need to get the H1 Visa stamped ..Currently on dependent )Will being out of status for a period of 4 months effect GC processing anyway..
 
Being out of status will affect H1 and GC. But if you can prove extenuating circumstances, it can be overcome.
