Out of Status Spouse

I am a DV 2007 winner currently on H1B but failed to renew my wife's H4 status until it was too late. Appeal was denied but no deportation orders or anything like that. I did not understand then that her status was independent of mine despite the H1B/H4 connection. The company's expensive lawyer never mentioned it anytime he was filing my extensions.

Question: I plan going AOS, how will this affect my wife? :(

maraba, unfortunatelly I think she wil have problems because she was out of status here. So, you may want to find a lawyer and to get his help with your application.

More than 180 days when we found out. Went through the motions with a lawyer and then appeal denial. So maybe our hope now is the current immigration reform program going on now.
