Option if TN denied

There is no reason for my TN petition to be denied, I've had 4 of them, but if it is denied at a POE, is there an option for CBP to allow me into the U.S. to gather my personal belongings then leave the U.S.?

Anyone have experience with this?
 
Well, I'm getting good at answering my own questions. Maybe this will be of help to others. If my TN was denied, they CBP officer has the option to let me in the U.S. on a I-94 with a limited amount of time to wrap up affairs and of course no work authorization, assuming I don't give them a reason to think I won't abide by the limited time.
 
If you apply a few days before your current TN expires then, even if your new TN is denied, you can be allowed entry on your existing I-94.
 
@hmel, it is quite possible to get I-129 approval, but then fail general admissibility criteria (criminal record, other immigrant issues). I-129 process doesn't look at these.
