OPT to H-4! URGENT!! GreatGuru please seek your input

Hello,

I am currently on OPT (F-1) which is expiring on May 12, 2007. I want to file for H-4 and waiting for my wife's first pay stub. My wife currently got project and will be receiving first pay stub by end of this month but the pay stub will include only 10 working days.
Is it ok to file anytime before May 12? Will I be considered on status if I have filed sometime by the end of April 2007. I dont want to be out of status or want to go for visa stamping.
Please guide me what should I do in this situation.

If your wife is in H1, you no need to wait for any pay stub. Go ahead and apply your OPT to H4, if any RFE comes then you can send paystub, by that time she must have more pay stubs. Do not wait.
