Why Oppose It?Brij523 said:
It is not premium processing but as said by USCIS, it will increase performance, efficiency in case processing and backgroung checks etc.Brij523 said:Do you really believe that premium processing will happen?
See the case of H1 processing. There is premium processing charge of $1000. But do you get premium processing. Probably in day dream!!
I am ready to pay thousands of dollar if USCIS is ready to approve my application today.
Wake up.

Second, it will eliminate AP/EAD fee, thats great for guy like me as I am paying for 6 members. Third, to maximize the profit, the USCIS will process the case faster fashion. Fourth, it is good sign for new filers.
USCIS has to justify after fee increase. There is no door open for remedy for "Delayed Cases", it is better to pay more upfront, otherwise be ready to be a part of backloged cases and pay more for getting renewals.
I have no reason to oppose it. (PS: It is purely my opinion).
That is accountability, check & balance. Indeed, we have no control over it or beyond our control.Brij523 said:Isn't premium processing equal to performance, efficiency. You are paying premium processing fee to get the H1 quick!! In actual it happens or not is a question mark.
Also do you think USCIS will meet their words? USCIS promised that most the application will be processed in 6 months, in a support to some legislation passed by president. And their record reflect their promise. But you and I know well that the I485 processing date reflected on USCIS processing time is an eyewash and a plain LIE. In a similar fashion USCIS will come up with funny way to certify their work and prove that their efficiency is best in the world. They would say that they are efficient.
Also I would say, I am ready to pay one time thousands of fee, if USCIS is ready to approve my application today or in a month. No lip service but need result on the ground.
Oppose the fee increase. You make your decision, I can't force you but one thing I will tell you USCIS efficiency will never increase.
5. Eliminating Perceptions of Impediments to Efficiency
This proposed rule would restructure certain fee arrangements that are currently perceived to provide disincentives for USCIS to improve efficiency in processing. For example, USCIS has long authorized certain customers, particularly applicants for adjustment of status, to apply for certain benefits while the initial application is pending, referred to generally as ``interim benefits.'' These include, most importantly, employment authorization and permission to travel abroad and return to the United States to pursue the pending application. In the current fee structure, USCIS charges additional fees for interim benefits in addition to initial application fees. Thus, the longer cases take to adjudicate, the more total revenue is collected. This creates the perception that USCIS gains by processing cases slowly.
If USCIS is unable to process the base application within the established processing goals, the applicant will not pay separate fees for interim benefits, no matter how long the case remains pending.
How does this proposed change apply to people whose I-485 is already pending?
