Hi all,
i read and learned a lot from these forums so i'm hoping someone out there will be able to guide me!I came here on a visitor visa last May to meet my friend in chicago n then go to NY to spend the summer vacation with my sister who is married there.I met my ow husband in NY (lives in chicago n keeps coming to NY for work)....we kept in touch n suddenly he proposed and insisted i move in with him and his parents. So in august i moved in with him but as he was waiting for his oath ceremony,we decided to wait to get a civil marriage done(which thanks to the Gods in the USCIS kept getting delayed as his file was lost! Finally we got married in april 07.

My concern is now we are going to file for my papers ...and on of the forms asks for the adresses lived in the last 5 yrs.Does that mean i have to mention all the adresses visited while i was i the US? Or only my Indian permanent address which is also on my passport?

Do the USCIS actually track where all one has been in the US while doing checks for green cards/I have no proof of travel within US as i didnt save the ticket stubs....i wasnt expecting to get married and staying here.
Any help/advice will be really appreciated.

Overstay?

I am guessing you Overstayed from the date of expiration of your I-94 until now? bad idea :p it will cost you $ 1,000

But I am in the same boat as you (B1/B2 Visa, AOS through marriage with USC) and yes, you will have to list every place you have lived, in India and the US in the past 5 years.

USCIS will not verify every place, but again, they may... but for sure they will ask you again during the interview.

Simsim,
Since you never met your husband before visiting the US, your should have a pain free AOS. You can't be accused of entering the US with the intention of AOS. You have been present in the US for a year now. I would advise you to put down at least one US address to show that duration. You do not need to mention every place you visited, but put down the address you put down on your I-94 when you entered the US.
Good luck!!!

Thanks....but i just stayed for a week on the address i entered on my I-94....then i went to NY.After that i moved in with my now husband. Is his (or now our) address OK to write?

Thanks Anahit.....then it should be our now address....i never stayed that long anywhere else.
Maybe Dr. Lha has some suggestions? Thanks in advance.
