on a basic of 3 years marriage or 5 years N-400?

Hi everyone,

I'm gonna file N-400, but I'm not sure about what kind of status I am. Here is my info:
I obtained my GC through a U.S citizen marriage in Jan 2004. But now I have been living in US for 5 years. Should I file N400 on the basis of 3 years or 5 years?

You can apply under either since you are eligible for both. It's suggested you go for 5 year route since it requires less documented proof than marriage based application.
