I have seen the news in CNN that Tom Ridge is resigning. Is this good or bad for us? What will be the impact?

I think it does not matter.

The screwy state of things will just continue.

The real issue is not who's the secretary. The real issue here is the fact that
USCIS/DHS (whoever) knows for certain by now....that the Employment-
Based Applicants category is a group of well-educated professionals who are
neither organized nor will create any problems/ruccus if they are screwed.

Thus they will continue to sleep on such applications w/o a worry in the
world.

In other words, status quo.
