Hello all,

Been a silent spectator at this forum. But I just recd my PP (h1 and h4 for wife)- sent to SL on Oct18th-good luck to everyone.

Got my PP

Got my PP today.

SL recvd date : Oct 9th, 2003
DC recvd date : Nov 8th, 2003
Got it back with stamping : Jan 20th, 2004

I appreciate all the help provided my various members here. Wishing all the best for everyone who is waiting.

Although, I do have a question. My old visa has been stamped with "cancelled without prejudice". It expired on Dec 8th, 2003. Does anyone know what it means?. Actually, in my case, my previous employer cancelled the visa. Is that the reason (or) its common nowadays for everyone ?

It is common thing that DoS will mark that comment on every expired stamp when they issue a revalidated stamp

I tried to call today, but it says the visa officers are busy and asking to try after sometime. Did anyone call and speak with INS today.

Hello everybody,

I have not received my passport yet. But when I called DC last week (12th Jan) the visa officer mentioned that my visa got approved. So I am moving my status down to the pending list since I have not received my pasport yet. I have plans to go to India today. But cancelled everything. My SL date is Oct 2nd 2003. Anyone know how long it takes to receive the passport after it was approved? I called trying DC today. Got a new message saying all the offiers are busy so hang up and try again.

The response I got was that they have stopped giving responses on telephone. She did not even asked me for my information and said it takes 12 weeks for visas to be revalidated. I guess I will have to wait. I am not going to call anymore. However if somebody has some emergency then they will definately speak.

H1 and H4 revalidation

Expects u already gone through .Please reply to these questions.

Myself and my wife are Indian planning to send passports for Visa revalidation (presently on H1B and H4 repectively). Are following docs enough for revalidation.

1. DS-156 form for myself and my wife.
2. DS-157 form for myself.
3. One photo for each of us.
4. Orginal passports of both.
5. Fees $100, $50 for each by DD. Total ($300).
6. Employment letter.
7. Orginal H1B and H4 petition. And 194's.
8. Self addressed Fedex bill for return of passports.

Are any other docs required ?

I heard about barcode on DS156. How do I print that doc with barcode. When I print the DS156 form iam just getting “BARCORDE” Bold letters on right side.

In DS 157. In question List of countries visited. I have to write like. Right?

FEB 2003 India.

Hey Chen78,

You don't have to send original H1B and H4 petition - only photocopies.
Just send original I94 stapled neatly to the passport.

BTW, make sure you note down the tracking # of your return envelope.
