Are you sure ur DC received date is 1st Nov.

I can keep some hopes on mine to receive soon. I thought they are approving pps based on the DC receive date. Mine has been received by DC office on Nov 6th, although its been received by SL office on 7th Oct.

Your reply wud be appreciated.

passport not yet received

Hello Everybody,

My SL date is Oct 2nd. On Jan 12th when I called DC office they said my visa is approved. But I have not yet received my passport. I am also tracking my Fedex. The Fedex status says "no scan record found". How long does it take for the visa printing? Anyone has any idea. I am worried and I have travel plans on Jan 19th.

Hello Everyone,

SL Date is Oct`9th. I called DOS office and the lady who answered my call declined to tell the status of my passport but said thier office is processing early October cases.

Planning to call again late next week if I don't receive it in the meantime.
 
. Newest DS-156 Needed for Visa Revalidation

The U.S. Department of State (DOS) Revalidation Unit recently informed the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) that they now require all visa applicants to use a new DS-156 form that generates a bar code. They will no longer accept older, non-bar coded versions. The proper DS-156 application form is available through the DOS WebSite. This change is only for persons seeking to revalidate their existing visas from within the U.S.

Regular MurthyDotCom and MurthyBulletin readers are likely familiar with our articles regarding revalidation of visas within the U.S. This process is available to a person with any of the following visa classifications already stamped in his/her passport: H, L, O, P, I, or E. A person seeking a new visa must have previously held a visa in the same category. Of course, the person must be eligible for the new visa. The revalidation process is only available to persons with existing visas that are either within 60 days of the expiration date of the visa stamp in the passport, or that have expired less than one year prior to the request for revalidation. Details regarding this process are available on the DOS Website by searching the term “revalidation.”
 
Hi Guys,

I called up DC office just now, lady was nice with me. Mine is received by DC office on Nov 4th, i sent it on OCt 6th to SL. She said that, they are currently processing the pps received during first week of November. She asked me to give a call in the next week to check the status. She said, my pp can be approved by next week.


Wait time was only a minute.. :)

Guys who's pps received by DC office before Nov can call them and find the status.

Hi,
Received both of our PPs today thru FedEx. I had sent them to SL on Oct 10th. When I called DC around 10 days back, they told me that my DC date was Nov 4th and not to expect the PPs till 1 st week of Feb. I was pleasantly surprised to recieve them today. But, what the heck...now we can go to India sooner than planned.

Just wanted to pass on this info.

I Have a question to those who received PP back thru fedex.
My SL date is OCT 2nd.I have been checking fedex track no all these days and is tired of seeing "No scan record ". From what time fedex will start showing shipping info? By evening eastern time?
 
Hi kadakada,

I am also in the same position. During the past one week I almost fedup with the "No Scan record" message. Just venting out. I have travel plans on 19th Jan. Looks like there is no way I can make it. :( :( :eek:

Washington DC address

Hi,
I need to send my papers for H1B visa revalidation. I am aware that I need to send the package to St Loius MO (I have the address) and the stamped passport comes back from Washington DC via self addressed prepaid envelope I am sending. Since I am sending express mail envelope I need to mention what address it is coming from?

can any one help me get the Washington DC address?

PS:I had written in DS 157 name in English instead of Native language.So was bit anxious about visa.Also all previous visa pages are stamped "cancelled without Prejudic"
