October mailers

Seeing the trend on PCee\'s list it looks like oct folks should start getting FP\'s by Mar, as almost all Aug folks have received FP\'s by 2/10 and there are lesser applicants in sept than earlier months.

Regarding approval, well today people are getting it from 6-8 weeks from FP done date but if our FP comes in Mar that will be earlier than FP done by people in Dec(typically people who applied in may) and so approval can be later than 6-8 weeks.

6-8 weeks is probably too short, we saw people got their approval
in Feb finished their FP in Oct or earlier.....that is way longer
than 6-8 weeks.

it is kind of late , it could time well with my visit.

I also read on shusterman that sometime this year, maybe after
oct 2002, the PDs for India/ China could go back, I kind of wished
that we all could get our approval before that happens.

I had some doubts on my case since mylawyer has put port of entry
as SFO eventhough I had visited canada and got a entry stamp
there but on the way back did not get a new i-94/stamp on the
passport , so just in case there is even an rfe , the case
must not be delayed to the point when the PDs are no longer
current. :(((

kinda tense about that, hence also need to get H1 stamped at
mumbai when I go on my vacation...just to keep the H1 status on.
 
I thot once ur I485 processing has been started, the PD should not matter!

I thot the PDs were only for being able to apply for 485!

that is not true,

I have a friend who was the victum of last large PD retro-back, he
submitted when the PD was current, got his EAD and AP, waiting
for approval, then the PD went back, and his case was suspended ...
until the PD went current again...

Hi,

PD retrogress has a significant impact on EB3 category. For other categories it is another 3 or 4 months time frame. We will get our GC approved before Oct\' 02.

yes PD matters

If the PD is not current, I mean has retrogressed beyond one\'s PD then he/she cannot get approval until the PD advances again till his/her PD.
 
Yahooo!!!!EAD approved finally for self and spouse as per AVM tonight

Hello friends,
       Good news from CSC is that our EAD has been approved on the 15th as per AVM. I am really surprised how come the AVM has been updated so fast. Also in the AVM it says that a card has been ordered and that it would take between 120 and 140 days. Will it take that long for the card to come.Hope this should give some confidence among Oct mailers. Please keep checking AVM\'s daily and hope everyone should get good news.

     The exact words that we hear in the AVM is "On 15th Feb, 2002 after approving this case, a card was ordered. The processing usually takes 120 to 140 days. A card will be mailed to you after it is ready.
     I am wondering if it would take that long for the card to come. IT didn\'t say anything like "This case has been approved.....". Is it normal for EAD approval to have such messages. Anyone whose EAD has been approved, please help me.

EAD-90 got stuck again according to thr latest JIT :(((

It was 11/15/01 two weeks ago, and it is the same last Friday.
My RD is 10/17/01 so I\'ve been waiting 4 months already...
A friend of mine who\'s RD is month before my one, received his EAD almost 3 months ago!
Something weird is going on there.
 
EAD approved for RD 10/9 ND 11/9 on 2/14 for self and spouse

wac-02-035 for EAD....approved on 2/14.

SSekar, I have the exact same message on the AVM for both of our cases...will ask my lawyer how long it actually takes to get the
EAD card in the mail and post it here.

Don\'t worry about what the AVM says. In our case it changed to \'This case hase been approved...\' about a week from the \'After approving...\' message and we got our cards a couple of days after that. I believe the message changes after your cards have been mailed out.
 
EAD approval on AMV on 2/16/2002!

I didn\'t check AMV yesterday, but on AMV my EAD was approved on
2/16/2002. Msg is normal. Just surprise about 2/16/2002.
SomeINS officer was working on Sat? Hopefully, INS speeds up
all case approval, even working on Sat?

Next step: Hope to get I1485 approval soon.

Yaa, I shall also talk to my lawyer and confirm. Also I heard from GCwaiter that after a week it automatically changes when they mail the card out. So seems normal for EAD approval.Anyhow lets wait and see.

I got the same message as you guys got. MD 10/01 ND 11/08

I doubt it will take 120-140 days to receive it.

I went to INS SFO to get interim EAD . It was a long day for me.. Long queue. took almost 6-7 hours. and they gave me iEAD only for 3 month..

Just heard on the AVM that EAD was approved for self and wife on 02/19 and the card have been ordered...blah blah..
Also got my IEAD for self and wife at SFO on 01/24.No big deal there.My aplozies for not updating earlier.
