Hi everyone,

The day has come! yes my GC got approved on nov 17th and I didnt know that for past 3 days??!!
I just checked today and saw the online status approved on nov 17th.
Thanks for all your support to this forum.
I wish everyone GC should get approved soon.
looks like VSC is rocking ON.
I think my finger print notice triggered the approval.

Here are my details:

I-140/485/EAD Applied-Oct 3 2003.
140 approved on june 7th 2004
485 approved on nov 17th 2004
EAD approved on jan 5th 2004
First finger print on Oct 29th 2004.
second EAD applied on sep 15th 2004. not sure this may also triggered the approval?

Now I have the following questions:

1.I am planning to travel to Canada next week for thanks giving.
my PR visa to canada expires second week of december.
so I have to visit there before the visa expires.
Can I leave the country at this time without getting my passport stamped?
Can I use AP and travel now since I havent got my approval notice in my hand?

2.What are the documents to carry in hand if I have to leave US at this time?

Any input will be greatly appreciated

Congrats. You need to have passport stamped now be4 you go out of the country. You should be getting approval letter soon. Take a infopass appointment.

why don't u setup automatic notification to ur cell phone if u have one.
I did the same and u will know when it comes
 
For sine_curve,
only FP received LUD change happened on Nov5th.
after that 485 approval notice change only.

So there is no other way we can leave the country at this time without getting stamped?
If I wont receive approval notice till next week,can't I use AP and travel?

This will be the same case like when I was outside the country using AP and my GC got approved when I am out of the country. right?

You should not take that risk, per strict law that is considered as intent to abandon your green card. After waiting few years to get green card, to me it is foolish not to wait few more days. Infopass appointment you can take at USCIS site. Once you have passport stamped you can go whereever / whenever you want.

My I485 RD is Oct 22, 2003 and ND is Oct 28 2004.. And my LUD changed on NOV 4, 2004.. But after that nothing has happened.. I am really getting concerned now why that LUD changed on Nov 4, 2004.

As MD_Rockville said, dont take risk dude. It is worth to wait for few more days to get your approval.

Who knows? You might get the approval notice on Monday. So go ahead and get an appointment using infopass and you should be fine.

Yes.I took infopass appointment online for next week.
When I get the approval notice nx week,I will go for stamping.

I suppose I can able to go to neighbouring state for passort stamping ?
or in the approval notice they will mention the place and date to go for stamping? any ideas?

I lost my EAD sometime back which was in the wallet. But I do have the copy of it. Still they need the original EAD to return it back or they will accept the copies?
