Hi,

We recently had a baby in US (citizen). I have a green card and my wife is on H1.We both are Indian citizens.
Will my child be eligible to apply for OCI?
If not will my child be eligible to get a OCI card, once I become US citizen(but not my wife)?

Thanks
Mohit

NO. You need to apply for PIO for your child.

Yes. As long as one parent is a non-Indian citizen (and used to be a former Indian citizen/other OCI criteria is met), child is eligible for OCI

---------If any parent becomes US Citizen then child can get OCI. When you apply for OCI after geting your US citizenship you can apply for child OCI.
