"Ocean" E-MAIL Campaign #1 to CSC Director Don Neufeld

just sent an email

just sent an email...

Reach_honey/smallfish, Whatever it is, lets not give up!!

I'll focus on sending emails and fax to congressmen. My gut feeling is that CSC director would not bother reply.

Did you anybody try to take advantage of alumni assocation?

Subject: WHEN COMES A TYPICAL DAY ?

According to Press Release of 1/29/2004,
USCIS Announces Latest Field Leadership Appointment
http://uscis.gov/graphics/publicaffairs/newsrels/announcement_012904.pdf
On a typical day, nationally, USCIS *WILL* (of course, not present):
process 140,000 national security background checks;
receive 100,000 web hits;
take 50,000 calls at four National Customer Service Centers;
adjudicate 30,000 applications for an immigration benefit;
see 25,000 visitors at 92 district offices;
issue 20,000 green cards;
capture 8,000 sets of finger prints at 130 Application Support Centers;
welcome 3,000 newly naturalized citizens;
greet 100 refugees;
and help American parents adopt 100 foreign children.

When comes such a typical day ?

Director Eduardo Aguirre said, "... These are highly qualified, dedicated professionals
who will be critical to reducing the backlog, ..."
I hope it comes by the end of this fiscal year.

Sincerely,

Subject: Complaint about USCIS - I-485 processing time by the end of FY2004 at CSC

I read USCIS today's news release:
USCIS PRIORITIZES BACKLOG REDUCTION IN FY2005 BUDGET
http://uscis.gov/graphics/publicaffairs/newsrels/backlogfy2005.pdf
and I am pleased that USCIS Director Eduardo Aguirre committed
six-month processing times for all immigration benefit applications.

However, its target is THE END OF FY2006 that is 2 years and 8 months later,
and I have been already waiting for almost 2 years for my I-485 approval.

Please let me know:
1) how many months the I-485 processing time will be reduced to by 9/30/2004,
the end of this fiscal year FY2004, epecially at CSC.
2) when my I-485 application WAC-02-124-***** is supposed to be adjudicated.

Thanks,

I am pleased to have received a reply from USCIS anyway
because this is the first time.

However, I was not asking my application's current status at all
because I have already known it.

My questions is:
To how many months does USCIS plan to reduce the I-485 backlog at the CSC
by 9/30/2004 the end of this fiscal year ?

Press Release describes about FY2005 plan, but it is still in FY2004 now,
and USCIS has already had over 2 years backlog for I-485 at the CSC.

Regards,
