Hi Everyone

As part of the Citizenship process I am changing my name. I received the oath letter with my current name. I thought the oath letter refers the future name. Please share your experience.

You will get your new name at the ceremony. Thats what happened to me. The new name will be reflected on your certificate

That is encouraging. My wife oath letter had her future name. Should I go to field office to check they have the correct name? Anyone else had similar experience pitch in

During your interview, did you sign the name change request paper ? Your name will be as you signed that paper ? When you go to your oath, the name change document will be attached to your certificate. Before you sign your certificate, they will ask you to make sure your name is correct on both documents

I did sign the paper at the time of interview with my future name. I hope my certificate come with correct name. Thanks for your inputs. I will update after the oath.
