You can check on www.shusterman.com - processing times. NY SESA was taking 180-240 days to process RIR applications in August 2001.

Question: What are the steps/stages for Labor Certification. My company contact says that , my application is still at the state level, and they are taking 12 months for RIR cases and are backlogged till 1998 for Non-RIR cases. She says once it is processed at the state level it goes to DOL, where they have their own waiting time.
Is that correct ? Can someone elaborate these steps, and what they mean, or just point me to the correct resource.

They are right. I am not sure about the times they mentioned since I thought that NY Sesa takes about 10 months and DOL is current. Go to www.shusterman.com and click on Processing times to check.
