Hi,

I live in NYC and I ve heard that the Long Island Garden City office is somehow "harder" than the NYC office, is that true?

I once had an infopass with a NYC office ( regarding an arrest I had in 2009 for patronizing a prostitute, charges were later reduced to Disorderly conduct ), and the lady was kind of nice

The NYC infopass lady said this could be forgiven as I dont have any other criminal record,

I wonder if there are differences in judgment between offices.

Given my arrest accident A lawyer gave me a 50% chances to pass, he said its "at discretion to the IO"

If anyone has advice, pls help

thanks

Your lawyer is correct; it's up to the discretion of IO. It's impossible to determine what IO you will have at interview, so no matter what DO you go to, there's always a chance for a tough IO. That doesn't mean it's more likely to get a tough IO at one DO, it just means that there are IOs that bend the law.
In any case, a disorderly conduct conviction does not make you automatically ineligible for naturalization. If it's your only conviction, you stand a good chance of being approved, unless you are still under probation.

I basically agree with bobsmyth, and I'll take it a step further say that I don't think the officer will make a big deal out of it because it isn't a big deal to begin with.
