The message will change once again in the next few days to words like "the card order was completed and we mailed you the new card.....". You should receive your card about 2 to 4 days after this message.

485 Approval Notice does not talk about PP Stamping
I received my 485 approval last week but except for the fact that it says "your I485 has been approved and the card will be mailed in the next 120 days", it does not talk about PP stamping or doing anything else! What is the normal procedure and should I be worried for this?

Hi lkjhgf,
Has your messaged changed to card mailed.
My wife's card was ordered on 12th May. Now message says This case has been approved. On May 17, 2005, an approval notice was mailed.
Generally, it is supposed to be On May 17, 2005, the card order was completed and we mailed the applicant's new card directly to him or her.
Just I am curious whether they changed the message.

All, is it safe to assume that we should wait about 1 week or does it arrive sooner than 1 week after the email confirmation? The reason I am asking is that I am out of the country right now, and I put a stop on my mail until I return (in 2 days time). Just don't want it to get lost in the shuffle,
Any ideas? experience people can share?

Really hard to say how much time it will take in mail. I got email on 05/03/05 that card is mailed and we got cards on 05/05/05. For some of my friends in same city, I have seen it took any where between 3 to 7 days to receive cards after getting email reg card mailed. Good luck.

I have recived bothc ards for spouse & myself.
INS has strange ways of doing its jobs.. They sent spouse's card last week on new address where we live.
& they sent mine on old address, thankgod it was forwarded by USPS to my new address and i received it yesterday. Somehow they didn't update my address in my records...even though i updated mine before my wife did. anyways all's well now.
My PP was stamped on 6th Jan 05 and i recived it on 19th may so total 133 Days in rcvng the card.
