My LUD was Feb 28, but that was regarding the call I made, saying that reply to my query was sent. No updates after that, only the "Card ordered" mail directly
 
a question about sending the GC

I am just wondering how the USCIS sends the physical card, by using a regular first-class mail or registered mail that requires a signature. I appreciate any information.

I got the following message for the status of my I181 (not 485):

Application Type: I181 , CREATION OF RECORD OF LAWFUL PERMANENT
RESIDENCE

Current Status:

This case has been approved. On April 20, 2005, an approval notice was
mailed. If 14 days have passed and you have not received this notice,
you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address,
please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283.

Does this mean that my physical card has been mailed? My 485 case status has never been updated since my case was transferred to local office.

How did you guys track the status of the physical card? through your 485 case number or something else?

Mikecc, plastic card will be sent by regular mail and do not require a signature. It will be put in your mail box and will not be hand delivered.
 
Card Ordered for me but not for my spouse....

Got an email and the status changed online that my card was ordered. However, my spouse's card has not been ordered yet, inspite the fact that we got stamped on the same day. During stamping, my wife was called and stamped before me. So technically she got stamped before me and her's should have been ordered before mine.

On this thread, I have observerd other applicants having the same issue as mine. Any clues why???

Card Mailed

Another mail today saying -
"On April 22, 2005, the card order was completed and we mailed the applicant's new card directly to him or her."

PP Stamping 12-06-04
Card Ordered: 4-15-05
Card Mailed: 4-19-05
Card Received: 4-22-05

I think waiting time has reduced to 4-5 months from stamping to receiving physical card.

hello , I apolozise to post my comment in unrelated thread but have one question about passport stamping and since everyone in this thread are experienced with this so I thought of posting it in here , Can you tell me if I can stamp the passport from any service center , I mean I live in NJ but work in NY , so it will be easier for me to stamp my passport with approval notice from NY service center but I live in NJ - hudson county, So can I do that ?
 
I recieved a message from USCIS for me and my wife that my card was ordered today. How long does it take to get the physical card after the card is ordered, any idea?

Looks like it only takes a couple of days to received your card when it is ordered.
 
Processing Dec 04 cases

I think they are processing Dec 04 cases. My passport was stamped on Dec 9, '04 and I got my card last week - roughly the same timeframe as a lot of the other December folks.
