Lets start November mailer discussion, I\'ll compile the stats:

I\'m quite happy to see that the CSC is processing the receipt a lot faster now. In my case it took 2 months!

Wait!!!

Well you may receive in that order:
Your Advance Parole (AP)
Wait...
then (a few months latter) your EAD
Then you wait some more...
And you hit the 180 days after your RD and you stress level goes
down a little bit...
you wait some more...
Then you will get a notification to get your finger print
(my advise is to try to have your finger print taken
before the schedule date in order to "speed up" the process")
Then you wait again, and you stress (fear of a RFE or have your
case sent to your local INS bureau for an interview...)

then you should get a letter that says that your I-485 has been
approuved!

Next thing your get up a 3h30 AM in order to go and stand up in line
to get your passport stamped!

November Mailer - Received Receipt

Thanks for the info.

btw, I have a question.
My attorney has file for EAD and NOT AP. The reason being I still have my H-1 valid until 2004 and I was told that I wont need AP, since I can travel on H-1 (and my wife on H-4).
However, the question is, if we get EAD and my wife starts working on EAD, then as I understand, we no more have H1/H4 status. In that case, how can we travel (if required)?

Working on EAD

Hi GreenHope

My understanding is that the person that start working on an EAD
will loose its "H" status, i.e. If your wife start working on her
EAd she will loose her H-4 status, but not you.

I do not think it is a good idea to apply for EAD and not AP, since
when you use your EAD you need your AP to leave the country....
The AP (I-131) filling cost is ~95$, I think it\'s money well spent (unless you have no plans to leave the country...)

485 RECEIPT recived.

I filed on NOV 14.
INS voice mails says your application received on NOV 25 th.

but thats sunday.
Any how got WAC number for EAD, AP and AOS

I filled around the same time so you (mail on the 15th)
should be WAC-02-55-..... or close to that.

The date that the AVM says is the notice date (not the
receive date).

Received 485/ead/ap receipts

Got 6 WACs from CSC for my wife and self. Details areL

RD: 11/09/2001
ND: 11/23/2001

Lawyer got the receipts Dec 12; priority dates are blank on all of them. IS this normal?

Also, do I get a coutsey copy as well, or is it only the lawyer?

received I485 receipt notices for self and spouse.

We mailed our applications on Nov 13. Did not apply for EAD/AP. Our lawyer received the receipts today - 12/10. I haven\'t got a copy of the receipt notices yet - so I don\'t know the RD and ND.

How long is taking to get receipts from CSC for I485, EAD and AP.

Yes, recently CSC picked up amazingly with respect to issuing receipts. Checkout the Receipts graph that shows this.
