140 pending, no RFE
FP done 5/26
FP "results recieved and processing on 485 resumed" message on 6/2

Its total confusion on 140s. Not even the lawyers know what NSC is upto. Its height of mismanagement, and they can get away with it because all of us are "aliens"!
 
140 ND 11/06/2003, no updates.
Got ead and AP by dec end.
FP receive on may end and the Appointment for fp will be 06/10/2004.
What is the procedure for name check and how long is it taking to complete the name check process.
 
I already took my FP in Minneapolis on 06/02. Online message is still not updated.

Once your FP is done, the finger prrints will be sent to FBI. FBI checks your finger prints, does a name check and sends the results back to NSC. FBI hardly takes 1 or 2 days for this process. you will not get any notice for name check.

Could you please post when you received FP notice and when you went and gave FPs.
I am curious because I live in Minneapolis and my ND & RD 12/02/03 and did not get FP notice .

My FP came for Dallas INS office as i have texas address in 485 application. FP came for 06/17. I went to local INS office and they FPed immediately.
Let me know if you need more info.
YOu will be getting your FP in a month or so.
 
Today i got email saying that
"the results of your fingerprint review for your I485
Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were
received, and processing has resumed on your case. We will mail you a
notice if further action is needed, or when a decision is made."

I think now iam in that infinite loop which no one knows when we will come out of it. I wish we had AC21 ability. All i can do is to hope for the best.
 
I got my FP done on 6/10. How/where do i check the whther the FP and Name check is cleared and send to NSC. Is there any phone No available to check?

I see that you have TX address and you have filed with NSC.

Hope you can shed some light on this issue.
My labor is approved from Chicago Federal and was filed in Iowa from a branch office.
My company has headquarters in Dallas,TX. I work in VA. I think my company files 140/485 with NSC. My question is about the address on file.

1. If I provide my current address, would NSC accept the application or transfer it later to VSC? Can I provide a friend's address under NSC jursidiction?
2. If I can provide my friend's address, can the FP be done in current location?
3. Would NSC accept medical report from a VA medical practitioner?
4. Do I have to provide some kind of proof of residence for the address on file?
Currently, my w2 and pay slips have VA address.

SRA123,

You can provide your current VA address. NSC won't tranfer your case to VSC. But you will notice, Finger Prints letter being sent from VSC. My case was similar, I filed from NSC, but I live in Boston. I have done my medicals from Boston and I got a finger prints letter with Boston local office.

PS: This info is based on my exp, but you may check with the experts in this matter.

My first post.

Add me to the Nov 03 list of concurrent filers.

Labor Pd: 05/2002 (regular)

140/485 rd: 11/2003
EAD & Adv.Par : 12/2003
No RFE or Approval for I140/485.

Looks like most of the NOV filers got their FP notice, except me? :confused:

My rd for 140/485 is Nov 18,2003.

There was update on our 485 application on Jun 01, 2004. In my case it was " the finger prints has been recd and processing has resumed......" but for my wife it was "pending review" and it has not been updated sine then.

Someone else with similar experience..my attorney says not to worry about these small things.

I don't think there are any 140 approvals for concurrent filers. We just have to wait till they start concurrent adjudication. And no one seems to have any idea of when it will happen(including USCIS).
 
seems like the more one studies and gets advanced degrees, the more one is NOT needed in this country.....
