Guys,

Anybody who has applied for AOS in VSC with their I140s approved for CP and are still waiting for approval, pl post here. If guys who have already got approvals in similar situation, pl post your dates here too.

Let\'s ascertain whether there is really any delay due to this situation.

Spoke to IIO 2-3 time. They always say there is no problem with case.
They have i140, FP info. Some one is working on this case.
Any way they are saying same thing from last Oct.

I-140 is still in Chennai consulate.Called IIO 5 times same answer all the time.
 
I140 Approved for CP and more than 1 year elapsed - No problem

Guys,

My 2 cents. If 140 is approved for CP, it will be sent to the respective consulate with in 2-3 weeks via NVC. From the date the consulate receives the papers, they keep them for one year. After that they will return them to INS.

So the cases approved so far, could be those, for which the I140 approval was over more than an year before.

If anybody has any info to prove this either way, pl post.

140 CP, Applied AOS, RFE on 28th Jan

I applied for my I485 all the time thinking that my I140 was for AOS. Just realized last week that it was for CP.
RD: 16th Feb 2001
ND: 1st March 2001
FP: 20th Aug 2001
RFE: 28th Jan 2002

I yet have to recieve the RFE, but I guess the INS has sent me a RFE that means that they are atleast processing my case.

Jan 25, 2001...still waiting...IIO told that they are waiting for my I140 petition from NVC.
Do any of you know how long does it take to get the reply from NVC.

Last week found out that my I140 was for CP.

I called IIO, the lady told me I have to wait for least 2-4 months.

Packet 3, is a set of forms that is sent by NVC to the applicant/lawyer to be filled and returned to the appropriate consulate. This is the first step in CP.
When is your I140 approved?
