Its an RFE case from those days when VSC used to approve very randomly (Did i say they are doing it systmatically now ?). so they have approved it as part of looking into backlogs.

For rest of us, we are not even close to NOV/DEC '02 cases. VSC is processing only OCT EB3 and SEPT EB2 cases.

Latest is BCIS has almost stopped all employment based I-140/I-485 processing to divert staff to work on religious workers (I-360) cases. Its part of expediting those cases as the law sunsets on Sept 30th and BCIS not going to extend it (for now). After that comes the BCIS year-end audit. All in all, we are totally sc***d for couple of months.

Lets wait and see...!!

Which category (EB1, EB2, EB3) did you apply.

That's a positive sign... Hope VSC moves to Dec'2002 ND soon..

Reciept Notice Date is the important one to track

I don't understand why most us are considering the date BCIS recieved the applications ( fedex date). It does not matter.

It is the date on the reciept notices that matters, which is also shown in the online status.

Follow the ND. Mine is EB2 Labor Substituion ND 01/25.

I pray all the applications before me be approved soon.

November 12, 2002 - the INS receipt notice has been received by mail.
After that:

I-485/765/131:
November 13, 2002 - mailing date
November 15, 2002 - received date
November 15, 2002 - priority date
December 11, 2002 - notice date
February 07, 2003 - FP appointment date
January 23, 2003 - FP done. Sended to INS
February 24, 2003 - EAD approval date
February 26, 2003 - AP approval date.

hi,
i had checked my online status and it says that they have mailed Aug. havent yet received any letters from INS.
has anyone faced a same situation? what could they want more as evidence??
also they letter that they are sending will it come to me or my attorney???

and if given all the information , does the process start immi. or is it held up tille the RFE period is done ???


please help.
