Have not got any receipts for 2 months, Advise please

I filed everything (140/485/EAD/AP) on 12/23/2002 and I didn't get recepits yet. Anyone outthere has similar experience? I can see most of you at least got receipts already. Some of you even got EAD approvals. I am so happy for you guys but I felt so miserable for my case and the stupid lawyers. My Company hired a big law firm outside and they are not cooperative at all. Each time I checked with them, they said you need more patience... Please give me some advice guys...should I check with INS directly but I don't have anything to track with...Thank you

You are not the only one out there without receipts. I am also almost in the same boat like you, so don't get frustrated as it will only hurt you. So talk to your lawyers and find out about your EAC numbers and once you get them you can always check status online or call the INS.

To be honest, most of the lawyers are out there don't help us as they already have GC or Citizenship and as it is you who don't have anything should struggle and do all the hard work and they just make more and more money by giving stupid replies......Nothing much we can do about it though just to listen to them.

EAD cards received

Physical cards received for my wife and me by mail today.

Went for fingerprinting as scheduled, but have to go back again tomorrow as INS was closed due to power failure:confused:

how to check status online

It is so nice to see that most of you are making progress here...

Here are some dates for my concurrent filing of 140/EAD/AP/485 (EB2/RIR):

AD::( Long way to go...

One dummy question: How do I check the status for my EAD/140 online? Do I have to pay 20 bucks everytime when I check the status?

You pay me that amount each time and I'll post your status every hour or may be more frequently if you got budget ;) . In this soft economy it may me tough for you to do that, so here is an alternative: Have your EAC case numbers and use the following Link Click here for Case Status

Hey sanga, sorry, I don't have any mood to take your "joke", but thanks for your info.

Actually I have tried the site before, but it only displays the information for I-485.

gcinfo1971, ramagopala, please advise is this the site you guys are using to get the status for EAD/FP/140?

Thats ONLY link where you can check status. All your applications(I-140/I-485/EAD/AP) will have separate EAC#s which you will need to use to get the status separately. If you are already doing so and could not locate your other status' online, its not entered into the sytem.
You need to check I-485 EAC# for any FP update on your case.

Thank you guys. Your information is very helpful...I really appreciate it. Unfortunately, the lawyer refused to release any receipt numbers except 485 number ... She said "it is your company's policy. Only 485 belongs to you; others are still company's property "... see what a great company I am working for!!!

Did you paid the checks for processing or your company did. If you paid it you can check backside of your checks. They will put EAC#'s back side of check. Most banks provide cashed checks. Good luck.

My wife and I completed fingerprinting today at San Jose INS. It was a 15 minute procedure, and they asked for notice and photoid- driver's license. Only problem was that the address specified on the notice was incorrect, we went to that address and were redirected by a note on the door to the correct place. Perhaps CSC has not updated VSC about the address change.....
 
EAD Approved !!!

My EAD Approved today. The Online Message says

On February 26, 2003, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready.

Does anyone have any idea how long it is taking now a days to get the card.

According to gcinfo1971's case, it takes about three weeks. (AD 02/06, Received on 02/25). Just guess, no clue.
