NOT SO GOOD INTERVIEW Continous residence - after interview requesting more documents... PLEASE HELP

How thick was it? One inch? Two inches? 6 inches? Sending them too much can result in it sitting on their desk collecting dust forever.

cant tell you the exact size, but it was double then all the rest of my lawyer files there... there were lots of doc's since they asked me to send ALL proof i had since 2006 (to show i didn't break the continuance residence) so there were lots of doc's to send

and since i had bad interview i wanted to present them with all the proof's i can get to show them that i DID NOT break it.

they also asked for some proof about my marriage so i had to add lots of other doc's, bills, pictures...

so yes it was very very thick and i can believe no one would want to go over that big of a package but- they asked for it...

MY HOPE is that the officer will look briefly and see that i have it all there and just approve me :) crossing my fingers...

as per the days - well.... on Monday it will be 120 days since they got the doc's. I'm just really hoping that they will send an answer within the 10 days they said the will. the "wait" part without knowing the end is just horrible!

They have 120 days from interview to adjudicate your case.
Yes and no. When part of the delay is due to the applicant's delay in sending the requested documents, the court may take that into consideration, and as a result may either dismiss the case or remand to USCIS with a deadline adjusted for the applicant's delay. For example, suppose USCIS requested some docs at the interview, the applicant took 121 days to send them, and then filed 1447(b) on day 122. The court would surely dismiss the 1447(b) or give USCIS at least another 120 days since the docs were received, unless the requested docs were unreasonable/redundant/irrelevant.

So for a strong 1447(b) filing, it is better to add the individual's own delay onto the 120 day limit before filing the 1447(b), in order to defeat USCIS's ability to blame the applicant for the delay.

HI ALL

today i had my ceremony! beside the fact that we had a long waiting (because the earlier ceremony start late) the actually ceremony was pretty fast and to the point.

i was first to sit :) so i was the 1st to get the certificate!

its was such a good feeling!!!! to be over with this long process of mostly "waiting".

i also went to the passport agency and i will get my passport on Friday.

good luck to all, keep positive thinking and it will all work out.

thank you for everyone who reply to my questions or concerns along the way!!!

Well Done!

I do hope that you filed that complaint form (EOIR-44) about the lawyer--(s)he or they may be giving bad information to many more trusting souls such as yourself. Be a good citizen and complain like an an American Taxpayer!
