Hello Everyone, please help me i am really confused.

I work in Company A which is a non profit organisation and got my H1 approved in Jan 2004 and someone told me that the H1's for the non profit organisation doesn't come under the Quota (65,000). I have a few question regarding this?

1. Can i get my H1 transfered to some other company B which is a normal profit making organisation ?
2. If no, would it make any difference if i apply for a H1 transfer in October since there would be a new 65000 quota of visas.
OR ELSE
3. Do i need to ask company B to process a new H1B for me for the 2005 H1's. Also I here that they started taking applications for the 2005 h1's on April 1st so what are my chances of getting a H1B if some company B apply's in October ?
4. I am also planning to get my visa stamped next month on Company A in mexico? so if i join a new company B( normal profit organisation) in dec do i need to get my visa stamped again if i go to india in April ?

My current plans are to wait until October in the same company A and try really hard for a new job in September and if i get a job ask company B to sponsor me a new fresh application for H1 and start in thier company B only after my H1 is appproved. If i dont get a job until october ask some consultant to apply a new H1 application for me.

am I in the correct direction ?????? !!!!!! i am really confused. please help.

1. Yes
3. Chances are good. Not many have applied till now-meaning the quota is not full yet. So ask B to apply now.
4.Not necessary. All you have to do is make sure you get the approval of company B before leaving for India. That way you can come back and join company B without any issues (You can join them later too)
