NOID and online status

If somebody get NOID on I-485, will the online status change for his I-485?

Will he receive the email and letter himself? or only lawer will get it?

Since I just changed job and doesn't have a attorney, I am afraid that I might not get the letter.

Is it possible to check it with USCIS by phone?

-------------- It seems your I-485 was filed by your past company lawyer. you CAN hire your lawyer fill up G28 with him and he can update USCIS that he represent you
OR
You can send letter to USCIS (where I-485 pending) with copy of your I-485 filing receipt and on letter write your name, A#, DOB, I-485 receipt# and request the USCIS that attorney XYZ on record is no more representing your I-485 and you revoke the form G28 filed through attorney XYZ and all future communication should be sent directly to you on your address. Sign the letter with date, address and mail it to service center with certified return receipt.
Out side the envelope write in big letters: request to revoke G28, attorney on record no more representing.

I did the same thing when I filed my AC21. Wrote a letter exactly as Ginnu mentioned. The only thing I didn't mention was 'revoke the G28....' other than that every thing else was same. But USCIS never considered niether my AC21 filing nor my request letter to change the lawyer.

Still my old lawyer is getting all the communication mails on my I-485.

May be if you send only the request letter seperately, they may consider it.

thanks,
Pradeep
