Hey Folks,

This is a DV Winner from Nepal. I am only 19 years old till now. I have not made my citizenship of Nepal yet, but i do have a Passport. I made a passport to apply for UK some years back but couldn't succeed to get the visa. That passport was made declaring me amatuer through my fathers citizenship. . I still have not made the citizenship yet. The confusion is do i have to make one when i will have to face the interview? Does anyone have the idea? Or i don't need the citizenship to obtain the Diversity Visa? Time is running out and just wanted to know the things at time so that nothing can possibly disturb getting visa....

All suggestions and comments would be warmly thanked.

Passport and Other Travel Documents
On January 1, 2001, the new Nepalese travel document will be issued to refugees registered with the Government of Nepal. This will include the approximately 20,000 Tibetan refugees registered in Nepal, but will not include refugees from Bhutan. It will also be issued, in some cases, to Nepalese children under the age of 16, for example, when they travel abroad without their parents, or when they are adopted by foreign nationals.

The new Nepalese refugee travel document is black while the standard Nepalese tourist passport is green. Official passports are blue and diplomatic passports are red in color. The travel document contains 16 pages and the validity period will be determined on a case by case basis, but typically will be one year. The passport contains 48 pages and is generally valid for five years.

Both the new travel document and the latest version of the Nepali passport share the same security features. These include:

Microprinting on the lines on page 2 (ID page) that form the data boxes and on page 3 on the signature line and the three lines for "name and address of the next of kin." Visible under magnification, the microprinting reads "Kingdom of Nepal." This microtext will smudge if photocopied or scanned.
The laminate covering page 2 contains a row of five blue Nepalese coats of arms along the bottom border. Another row of five coats of arms along the top border of the page is visible only under ultraviolet (UV) light. If the laminate is lifted, as happens when the photograph is switched, this top row will be disturbed.
All pages feature four Nepalese coats of arms, one in each corner, visible under ultraviolet light, and each page's number is visible in the center of the page under UV light.
The thread holding the book together will also fluoresce under UV light.
Each page has a watermark, which resembles the letters "SN" attached at the top.

Travel documents will only be issued by the Nepalese Ministry of Foreign Affairs or by Nepal's foreign missions abroad. Nepalese passports are issued by Chief District Officers (CDO's) in Nepal's 75 districts, as well as by Nepal's foreign missions abroad and by the Ministry of Foreign affairs.

A lost Nepalese passport will result in the bearer being issued one of the following three possible documents by Nepalese foreign missions: a) a replacement Nepalese passport; b) a travel document; or c) a transportation letter.

Green Nepalese passport will do. Black Nepalese refugee travel document will do too. Blue official passport or red diplomatic passport will do too.

Thanks raevsky & darkhorse !!!

Thank you guys !!!! I am really reliefed with the answer.. And i have a green passport book not a fake or something...

So does this mean i don't have to have a citizenship?

That means you in fact have Nepalese citizenship. But that is not the point. The point is you have a valid travel document, that could be stamped with a visa.
