NIW I-140 approved. No fingerprint notice.

Hello everyone,

First of all, thank you for all useful information that you are exchanging here.

I filed concurrently (self-petition, VSC) early in May 2005. NIW I-140 got approved in the end of May (thank God!!!).

LUD got changed for I-485 a few days after ND (both for my wife and me, no change for a child). I thought it was for a FP notice.

However, it is more than a month since that now, and we did not receive FP notices.
I know it may be premature to worry about anything, but from what I read here it appears that people are receiving FP notice shortly after ND of concurrent filing.
Is there anyone who called CIS to verify whether FP notice was sent? should I expect any cooperation from an officer on this matter if I call?
My concern is that our mailbox was broken at some point and all mail was just laying on the floor in the hall of the apartment complex, so something might get lost.

My other concern is that I was given a bit different A numbers on my I-140 and I-485 receipts: on I-140 the first digit is a "0", but it is absent on I-485, otherwise all digits are the same. Did anyone have the same thing or I have an exeption and something that may lead to a confusion for officers who work with my case?

All comments/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Is there a LUD for FP?
For A#, I think the first 0 is useless. My EAD has an A3 with one more 0 than that in 485 receipt. I assume it is normal. By the way, CIS is really speeding up now. One month for !-140 is imaginable even half a year ago.

The LUD for I-485s changed once about a week after the ND.
I thought it was for FP because it changed for my wife and me and not for the minor child.

Thanks for sharing your info about A#. I am also thinking that the first zero is meaningless, but wanted to confirm this.

I have the same problem on A#, the leading 0 missing on 485. I guess it is normal. Receipt notice date for my concurrent filing was 4/20/2005. I haven't heard anything about either 140 or 485 yet. I submitted an identical 140 NIW by myself (self-petition) on May 5, 2005 and this second 140 got approved on May 18, 2005. Even though I got the paper approval notice in the mail, the status online has not changed yet as of today (6/21/2005). What a delay!

Good news. My 1st I140 was also approved today after 2 months (RD 4/20/3005). Now it is time to wait for FP notice like you guys. I will put my info here once I have it. Good luck to everyone.

Well, in my case,I haven't got any notice about FP yet. :(

I heard many people got FP notice soon after the cocurrent filing. I thought that is the advantage of filing together. I filed seperately. I still haven't got FP notice although I filed almost 3 months ago.

My RD for concurrently filed I-140 and I-485 is Mar 25 2005 at VSC, and I've not yet received any fingerprint notice so far. Looks like its pretty much normal!

Any comments!

Hey GoEagles, it looks like we both filed from the same locality :).
Maybe our local ASC is a bit overloaded with the biometrics stuff.
So let's give them more time and pray God for faster processing of our cases.
I will keep updating this thread and hope to hear from you, too.

Hey there,

Thanks for sharing your info. Just realized that as per the latest update on uscis.gov, VSC is processing applications filed ~19 Mar 2005. If they follow those dates, may be we hear from them (good news!!) pretty soon!

Good look to all of us!
