Let me reiterate that to you Aug 2001, in case you still have a hard time believing it : your LC has been approved ;) Congrat to you !

I'd be interested to hear from anyone who got their files sent from State to Regional during the past month or so. It looks to me like nothing's happening on the State level since mid july. Whether you've received an NOF or a letter stating that your file was sent to Regional, please feel free to post your details, that's the only way for us to have an update on how fast things are going. And yes, it takes only a minute to register in case you don't have a login :)

NY Regional DOL received around 1200 cases between JUly 15 to Aug 18th

case numbers 02509126 - 02510245

I don't think all the 1200 cases transferred from NJ SESA..

If we esimate How many cases transferred from NJ in last month then we can get approximate number for NYSESA.,
NJFilers receive letters when their case moved to regional.. If NJSESA maintain a numerical order for these case numbers ... we can get rough number of cases moved from NJ to NY DOL..
NJ Filers .. any estimate on this??

My labor was filed on Aug10 2001 and my lawyer says that my case is still in state. But the web site says that they are processing sep 2001 cases. I am really confused. Anyone else has similar issues?

According to me, your case hopefully has moved to regional.
One way to confirm that is call
NY Regional Contact No. (212) 337 2184
Working Days : Mon/Wed/Fri
Working Hours : 9.00 AM to 12.00 PM
Tell your lastname, firstname, employer name and employer phone#

Be polite and to the point, you will get to know your case #.
if u do not get then call some other time.

Once you get your case #, you can track the status at 212-3372193 , enter 1 twice and then enter your case #.

Is there anything happening in NYSESA front

Guys do you know if there is anything happening in NYSESA? Querries, NOF etc It looks like they are pretty much stuck with september though we know some october cases have been reviewed. What could be the possible reason for this long delay for the month of "September"?

Please kindly share your information and send 'Thank You Greetings' to NYSESA

I hope that we are NOT going to be stuck with Sep'01...dare I say like April'01.

Well, the NJ SESA flew by Sep and are now upto Mar'02...So what is stopping NY SESA????

Any GURU can throw some light..????

September 2001 delays can be attributed to a few things:
- This was the deadline for conversion of Regular to RIR cases (but the number cannot be that big.
- They really are working slower.
- They are preparing cases to transfer them to backlog centers (I seriously doubth this is the case.

zamq, nomorebacklog - no posts from you in a long time. Are you still around?
 
I will pick option 1 since 3 is unlucky to happen to NY state and 2 is very normal :)

Knowing our NYSESA folks it looks like that they are just waiting to wash off their hands trying to send as many cases as possible to baclog centers :mad:
 
NY SESA Sucks

Guys,

My Lawyer called the NY-SESA and was informed that it may take over 6-8 months to clear remainder of 2001 cases. Not sure what that means. They are currently processing cases filed in Spetember 2001.

Does this means that to clear september the ymay take another 5-6 months ??

These guys should be fired !!
 
My 2 cents..

Hello All,

I remember talking to my lawyer last year about April 2001 delay in labor processing. He mentioned a couple of reasons, one of them was 245i. At that time he also mentioned that this is going to happen one more time and that is when they process the month of Spetember 2001.

The reasons he gave me go like this. First of all, as somebody mentioned in his posting, the deadline for converting regular applns to RIR was Sept 2001.
The other reason is that FILING FOR 245i SPECIAL CASES (I do not know what the heck these so-called special cases are for) was extended to Sept 2001. So combining these two things, it makes sense that they are stuck again in Sept 2001 and this will linger for a while.

This is not to dishearten anybody. Just some facts.
