9/11 incident

Hello All,

I remember talking to my lawyer last year about April 2001 delay in labor processing. He mentioned a couple of reasons, one of them was 245i. At that time he also mentioned that this is going to happen one more time and that is when they process the month of Spetember 2001.

The reasons he gave me go like this. First of all, as somebody mentioned in his posting, the deadline for converting regular applns to RIR was Sept 2001.
The other reason is that FILING FOR 245i SPECIAL CASES (I do not know what the heck these so-called special cases are for) was extended to Sept 2001. So combining these two things, it makes sense that they are stuck again in Sept 2001 and this will linger for a while.

This is not to dishearten anybody. Just some facts.

Also if you remember, the 9/11 incident occured at that time and many of the employees were transfered or work on that issue.
this may also be a reason.
 
It is good to face the fact but one great scholar told that speak what you want to see and you will see that so be positive and i hope before the end of this year all the cases of 2001 will be soughted out .

I know we have to be a little bit practical and the reason i see for this is november is the elcetion month and like else where in the world politicain will use immigration as a weapon to gain public confidence.

I hope this could be one good reason for me to think this way

My labour was filed to NY DOL on March 2003. My company is moving its technolgy staff to NJ now . Can I still file for my I140 based on my NY lobour as my company still has a presence in NY

Please give your comments about this.

Is this true? So disappointing. I think we all should be writing to the senators and all the congressmen, attorney general, every important person of NY. This is a crime against humanity. Unless we pressurise NY SESA they are going to conitnuw this way. How do we know that the officers in that office are actually doing some work and not playing golf??
 
well gentlemen, we did not have any update in this thread since August 27th, I wonder if any thing interesting happen on these days at the great office of NY SEAS
 
Come on October November

Guys, Any one has any updates on October or November or September. If NY SESA did not move from September on 12th then it may be a while. I hate to say then they may be taking another 3-4 months just to clear Sep'01.

May these creatures get some wisdom !!
 
Labor Approved

Guys, I have a good news to share. My labor got approved, got a call from the lawyer this afternoon.

Here are the details:

PD : 10/12/2001
Moved to regional on : 03/03/2004
NOF issued on : 07/14/04
Reply submitted on : 08/18/04
Approval notice from DOL: 08/30/04

Other Details: EB2/Software Engineer DOT code xxx-xx-010
 
From what I see, Jani2711 (PD 08/07/01) was the last one from the list to get his LC moved to Regional, and that was back in 07/07/04.
Too bad we don't have more Sep and Oct cases on the list to keep a better track of SESA's activity :(

These SESA folks are working overtime to sweep and clean the streets of New york for Republican convention. They forgot about their real job. some one needs to remind them........

Congrats. Couple of queries. Was 10/12/2001 the date your application filed?
When did you know that your case was moved to regional? Was it on the day NOF was issued?

Thank God i feel really happy about your approval this seems that even after getting NOF you can be approved!!!!!!

Guys,
I know all of you all tired and not intrested but just wanted to start something that moves us beyond this Labor pain.
Todays article in rediff.com and excerpts from republicans are here....

I also visited www.johnkerry.com and only thing I found regarding us is

Labor Approved

Hi Friends, My labor (DOT Code 20) has been approved on Aug 30th, recevied the notice today. NOF was replied on Aug 12th.

Can anyone suggest me a good attorney for I-140 and I-485 ?.
